Do you drive on roads from the first driving lesson?
Yes, usually the first rides take place in city traffic. However, you don’t have to worry, our experienced instructors are perfectly aware that you are just starting out and first of all you need to feel safe and comfortable behind the wheel. Each first class begins in the training area, where there is enough space to learn the basics of driving a car. Only if the student can move, change gears and turn, do we start learning on the streets.
The first drives take place away from heavy traffic, traffic jams and complicated intersections. On quiet, less frequented streets, you can fully focus on mastering basic skills – starting, stopping, turning. We introduce everything gradually, step by step, without rushing, so have no fear.
Do you have automatic transmission cars?
Of course, our fleet includes modern Toyota Yaris IV cars equipped with an automatic transmission. People starting their adventure with driving can focus on mastering basic skills without having to worry about changing gears manually. The automatic transmission makes driving easier, especially in city traffic or while parking, reversing etc. The car does not stall at an intersection and does not roll down when starting on a hill. This will definitely make it easier to learn and feel confident behind the wheel.
* Please, bear in mind. that if you decide to do the exam in an automatic transmission car, you will have a code in your licence, with which you will be allowed to drive automatic vehicles ONLY.

How long does a category B driving licence course last?
Category B course includes theory and 30 hours of practice. You can complete the theory part online without leaving your home! We give you access to the platform, which you can use to learn on any device (smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer).
The other part is 30 hours of driving. You come to us to do this part after you pass the theory exam in the WORD exam centre. How long it takes depends on your availability, season and chosen location. We usually schedule 2 slots a week. Each such slot is 2 hours of driving, so from the moment of your first lesson it usually takes about 2 months to complete driving. If you are only available in the evening, it may take a bit more, if we are off season and you are flexible with time arrangements, it may be even shorter. Bear in mind that we can schedule your driving only when you pass the theory exam and send us your PKK, so the sooner you deal with it, the sooner you will start driving.

Exams
What are possible languages to take the driving test in Poland?
How much does the theory exam for foreigners cost?
How much does the practical exam for foreigners cost?
The price of the category B practical driving test for foreigners includes standard fees related to the examination, such as: an examination fee of 200 PLN *and fees for a sworn interpreter. (Examiners work only in Polish, so students who do not speak Polish are required to arrange for an interpreter to assist them for the duration of the exam). Our school cooperates with experienced translators, so we can recommend somebody and provide contact numbers. The cost of the translation service depends on the price-list of the selected translator.
Besides, if you decide to take an exam in a car with automatic transmission, you need to rent a car for the exam, as exam centres do not provide automatic transmission cars. The cost of the automatic car rental in our school for the time of the exam slot is 270 PLN.

Is my foreign driving licence valid in Poland?
- If you come from a EU or EFTA country, you can drive with your licence as long as it is valid and you do not need to change it for a Polish one.
- If your country signed the Vienna Convention, your licence is acknowledged in Poland. You can drive with it as long as it is valid, if you come to Poland only for short periods. However, if Poland is your new place of residence- you are allowed to use your old driving licence only for 6 months after obtaining temporary or permanent residence, and then it must be exchanged for a Polish one.
If your country signed the Geneva Convention, your licence is only acknowledged in Poland if presented together with an international driving licence. You can drive with these two licences (together) as long as they are valid, if you come to Poland only for short periods.
However, if Poland is your new place of residence- you are allowed to use your old driving licence with the international one only for 6 months after obtaining temporary or permanent residence, and then it must be exchanged for a Polish one.

Do you always have to take the theory exam if you want to convert your licence?
This is not a common situation, but it happens that if a country signed the convention and the original driving licence complies with the required pattern (i.e. the country has adapted all the regulations, the document contains all the mandatory fields, a photo, etc.), you will be informed in the office that you do not have to take the theory exam in the WORD exam centre and your driving licence will be converted to Polish.
When you exchange your national driving into a Polish driving licence, your current document will not be returned to you.

Is it possible to renew a foreign driving licence after its expiry?
If your original foreign driving licence has expired, it is as if you had no driving qualifications at all. In such a case, it is not possible to convert a foreign driving licence into a Polish one. This means you will need to complete a full course and pass the theoretical and practical exams for B category.
